Meet Dr. Michelle Martinez (Hurst, TX)

Dr. Michelle L. Martinez began her optometric career in August 2002 at Decatur Eye Center. In March 2004, she founded Northeast Eye Center and began seeing patients at Northeast Mall. In October 2015, she relocated her practice to 900 W. Pipeline Rd. in Hurst, Texas.

Inspired by her own early experience with vision care, Dr. Martinez developed a passion for optometry at age 11 and has since dedicated her career to improving patients’ vision and eye health.

Dr. Martinez earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2002. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, where she double majored in Pre-Medical Studies and Sociology, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995. She is licensed by the Texas Board of Optometry as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist and co-manages care with local ophthalmologists for LASIK, retinal, and cataract consultations.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and the Tarrant County Optometric Society.

Outside the office, Dr. Martinez treasures time with her family. Her greatest joy is spending time with her twin daughters.
