Dr. Martinez’s optometric career started in August 2002 working for Decatur Eye Center. Northeast Eye Center was founded in March of 2004 by Dr. Michelle L. Martinez. She leased space from Sears at Northeast Mall until she relocated her practice in October of 2015 to 900 W. Pipeline Rd in Hurst.
Dr. Martinez’s journey to becoming an eye doctor began after her first eye exam when she was 11 years. While her exam was not ideal, she did leave with better vision. From this experience she decided that everyone had the right to good vision and have a great experience during the exam. Dr. Martinez is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry. She graduated with Honors in 2002. As an undergrad at Notre Dame she double majored in Pre-Medical and Sociology graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995.
When not working, Dr. Martinez enjoys her family life. Her greatest joy is spending time with her twin daughters.
Dr. Martinez is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and a member of the Tarrant County Optometric Society.
Dr. Martinez is licensed by the Texas Board of Optometry as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist. She co-manages with local ophthalmologists for Lasik, retinal and cataract consultations.
Dr. Rosalyn Lien was born and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Texas at Arlington, as well as her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. She has completed internships at Community Eye Clinic in Fort Worth, and private practices within the Dallas/Fort Worth area where she received extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, and co-management of cataract and refractive surgeries. Dr. Lien is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
In her free time, Dr. Lien enjoys baking desserts and traveling with her husband. She also loves to try new cuisines and is always ready for the next food adventure. Dr. Lien also enjoys a quiet weekend at home watching movies, playing video games and spending time with her two dogs.
Dr. Lien is passionate in providing quality eye care to all her patients, even going beyond updating glasses and contacts. She spends time with each patient to educate them on their specific visual needs and ocular conditions, in addition to discussing ways to help maintain clear and healthy vision.
